I started to do photography in about 1992, I purchased a 2nd hand Zenit SLR & proceeded to do it by experiment. In about 1994, I bought my first digital camera, a Kodak DX3900; this caused a flourishing creatively in hand with Adobe Photoshop LE doing surrealistic landscapes. Since gaining my Photography degree at University (gaining a BA) my work is taking on some sophistication with composition and developing skills. I now have a fascination with colour and semiotics making subtle impossible images. At times i'm lead by "that looks cool" school of thought which has also set me thinking about being a neo-pictorialist as with Photoshop I am fulfilling the Pictorialist dream. I'm now using a Sony A99mk2 with the Carl Zeiss F2.8 24-70mm lens also the Sony DSC-R1 with a Carl Zeiss 24-130mm lens. I do love the Zeiss aesthetic.
